Southern Californian Protests Persecution in China!

You can follow the courageous path of a Southern California pastor who is protesting Christian persecution in China.   The local media has finally picked up the story, including Fox News, Associated Press, and several papers in the UK.  This is an extremely interesting story.

See the following websites for video and details of the protest:

Why Should I Vote for McCain

I have been a Republican since the Nixon years.  But, as a young man and product of the 1960s...  yes... THAT 1960s, I was a very liberal young man.  Remember the mantra of the 60s... "if it feels good, do it" or how about... "make love not war".  Boy, that sounded pretty good to a young man.  Why not??  We're all free to do what we want, after all... this is America.  let's just let anyone do what they want... and hey, just let the government pay for it all.

But... as I got a bit older, got a college degree and started to make a bit of money, all of a sudden, I found myself paying taxes... and then more taxes, and more taxes.  Very quickly I realized that the liberal thought of "let the government do it for you", maybe wasn't the best way after all.  Especially since the TAX BURDEN for all those FREE PROGRAMS was coming out of the middle class... out of MY POCKET!

And so I did the only thing I could...  I became a conservative...  especially a fiscal conservative!  My attitude changed from...  "let's help everyone" to "there is NO FREE LUNCH"   I have not regretted my decision until the past few years.   I voted for George Bush in both elections.  Although there are some good things about President Bush... there are some issues that make me regret my vote...  some of those issues include:

1) Lack of an immigration policy (and pushing AMNESTY for 20 million ILLEGALS)
2) Failure to close and control our borders
3) Increased budget expenditures
4) and finally IRAQ...  (I was all for the US going after Bin Ladin and into Afghanistan)

So...  my question is...  WHY should I vote for John McCain for president??   After 25 years in Congress...  isn't he from the SAME MOLD.  Isn't a vote for McCain just saying... "let's just keep doing what we're doing"??

If I listened to the National Republican Party, or the California Republican Party, they would have me support John McCain with my finances and with my vote.  They say I should be a good conservative and support the potential Republican candidate for President... but again, I ask why?  To me... party loyalty is not a good reason!
Yes... he is a war hero... that was THEN.... this is NOW.

Reviewing McCain's comments and record over the years as a Senator...  has given me even more reason to question a vote for John McCain.  Probably the biggest slap in the face from McCain came in 2007 when he teamed up with TEDDY KENNEDY (the most LIBERAL politician in congress) to try and cram that lousy immigration and AMNESTY bill down the throats of the American people...  that, and that alone should be enough to question a sane man voting for John McCain!!!!

Now I am left with the difficult decision about what to do...  do I just NOT VOTE?  do jump party lines and vote for Obama... or God forbid... Clinton?

At this point, I have taken a "wait and see" attitude.  I am going to wait:

1) to see who McCain chooses as a running mate
2) to see if McCain gets down on his knees and begs forgiveness for the Kennedy bill.
3) to see if McCain can control his well know temper over the next few months
4) to hear McCain's plan for taxation, the IRS, and IRAQ.

Bottom line...  I am FED UP with government as we know it...  I am FED UP with the Republican party rhetoric and inaction on major issues such as immigration.   Do I believe that the Democrats can do better...   for that answer, just look at Nancy Pelosi and the current Democratic controlled Congress.  we all heard big words come out of her mouth... here again...  "all talk and NO action".

I'm not the only long time Conservative Republican that feels this way.  Every friend and associate I speak with feels the same way... they are FED UP!  That is a sad commentary on our political system, and even more... a greater failure of the Republican party to meet the needs of their constituents.  I would like the Republican National Committee to answer the following:

1) Is John McCain the best the Republican Party has to offer??
2) Where is the real change in government this country is crying out for?
3) Where is the Republican Party's BARACK OBAMA??
4) Do we need to vote Democrat to find real change?

RNC... I... along with millions of other Republicans will be waiting for your answer!
